Shadow Trapunto Christmas Quilts
This is my collection of Christmas quilts. I used these designs to make shadow trapunto quilts ( because this is my passion), but they could be used for other quilting techniques, too. I tried to make quick and easy designs. This piece could be stitched in one day... I made this in less than one day... I love postcards ! The same magic of shadow trapunto in a little piece that can be made … [Read more...]
I am back at work
I didn’t sew anything in the last weeks. We made some renovations in our home, painted the walls and other hard things like these. My husband had a few days off, but we both worked at home. Now I am back to my quilts. I cannot sew because my sewing machine needed a few small repairs and only at the end of the week I will have it back home. But I have a lot of work to do on my … [Read more...]

Trapunto quilts
My adventures with shadow trapunto started a few years ago with ...trapunto.These are a few quilts I made in the last years.Sometimes I stitch the motifs using a zig-zag stitch and a variegated thread. One thing I don't like about trapunto is trimming that thick batting. It seems that the trapunto motifs are enhanced by light colored fabrics. or shining fabrics (like this taffeta). These are the … [Read more...]
