Simplicity meets wonder!
One fold at a time!
A few squares of heavyweight fabric (no interfacing).
A few minutes for a fun folding technique.
A few blocks finished in just 10 minutes.
But what should we do with them? How to incorporate them into something that will be used and cherished for years to come?
Introducing my new bag and pouch patterns
Here is the bag, simple yet charming and unique.
The folded blocks create a texture that will turn heads wherever you go.
Bag size: 13½’’ wide at bottom, 18’’ wide at top, 14’’ tall, 5’’ deep
A matching pouch adds a touch of sophistication and completeness to the bag. It will also enhance the functionality of the bag.
Pouch size: 9’’ wide, 8’’ tall, 4’’ deep
Beautiful and functional
Made in a generous size, the ample space inside accommodates all your essentials.
The bag closes with magnetic snaps and inside there are zippered pockets (made with a super quick and easy technique).
Details that matter
Crafted with love and attention to details, made out of heavyweight cotton, this bag withstands the test of time.
You can even fussy cut the squares needed for the folded blocks!
Made out of faux leather
The HUGE advantage of faux leather? You don't need interfacing.
A unique texture
Any fabric+interfacing combination cannot replicate the wonderful texture given by faux leather!
Interesting construction details
The way the bottom of the bag is constructed is simple yet has a strong visual impact.
Once you learn the construction technique, you can modify the size of the pieces, even the number/size of the folded blocks and you will be able to create bags in other sizes that may better fit your needs.
This technique creates a stunning 3D appearance that you can clearly see and feel.
Instead of natural flowers, you can even add some embellishment between the blocks!
Expand your sewing repertoire!
You will learn new techniques and grow new skills.
You will gain experience that can be applied to other future projects.

SILVIA did it!
I'm ready for my summer vacation! I'll be flying across the ocean to visit my son and his family. Like I do every year, I've been thinking about what gift to give to my daughter-in-law. That's when I came across this bag pattern.
It's a really handy and useful bag with a unique design. I managed to sew it together in just a couple of afternoons, thanks to the pattern's easy-to-follow instructions and video guides. I picked out a pretty floral fabric from my collection to make it extra special.
Putting the bag together was quite smooth, since the pattern had all the measurements and steps I needed right from the start.
With every stitch, I could see the bag taking shape, but the real excitement came when I turned it inside out after sewing the final seams.
The bag looked fantastic with its twisted blocks and a sturdy structure; it also has a smart folded bottom.
Of course, I had to make a matching pouch! My sewing experience and the gift would have been incomplete otherwise!
Even my toughest critic, my husband, was impressed with the result. I'm confident my daughter-in-law will love this gift – it suits her taste perfectly! Can't wait to see her reaction.
