Hexagonal Macaron Case

October 16, 2012 9 Comments

So I made a macaron  – but it is hexagonal. And flat   –  like the one I suppose I will bake soon!

If you remember the mini hexagon flowers I made a few weeks ago, this is what I want to make with them.
Something for my sisters who helped me stitch the Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt.

 The back.

I made it with 2 zippers because I did not have a longer one – but I think a version with only one zipper is more comfortable.
I thought that attaching the zipper will be difficult –  I would say that you need just patience.

I show you the inside just to say “don’t do like me!” – it looks horrible. There are a few tutorials on Internet but I did not pay attention to them –  so I learned how to do it the hard way.
I hope I will have time to redo it!

Three more to do!

Have a happy sewing day,
Geta

    Hi Geta,
I love your small macaron pouch! It's sooo cute :-). I like it with the two zippers. Hope to see some in other colours as well.
    Have a nice day!

Geta – you are just amazing!! I would be freaked about putting a zipper around a hexagon, but you make it look fabulous. 😀
