Back to sewing

October 15, 2012 5 Comments

I am back to sewing. I was about to write “back to work”, but this is not true. Even if I did not sew at all in the last month, I worked a  lot. No secret projects, nothing exciting (I do have an exciting news though, but it has to wait two more weeks!), just life with good and bad, more bad this time:).

I did not stitch at least one hexagon ! But I spent some time on the computer and I just finished the pattern for this bag. It is now in the testing stage.

Until 26 Oct, I want to finish this quilt. It’s great to have deadlines – it’s my birthday so I have to keep my word!

And if I will be brave enough, maybe I can make something like this. I know it’s a dream for someone like me (I know to make pancakes but nothing else), but I will try.

Soon I will have more cakes in my Pinterest boards than quilts! I blame the colors, really, I don’t feel any desire to eat them!

Have a great week,
Geta

Your GFG quilt is beautiful. I completed one several years ago, but I can't figure out how to do a border. I've thought about appliqueing the quilt to a border, or cut a backing the same shape as the top, but that seems daunting. I've also thought about cutting a straight line edge – cutting parts of the hex's.

What are you planning to do.

The quilt is beautiful and so is the cat! I am also drawn to the colors in the little cakes. How fun for a party 🙂 I can't wait for your news!

Oh that quilt is gorgeous! I've done a small scrappy hexagon quilt with 930 hexagons ~ didn't take as long as I thought it would and love it!
And the bag ~ so pretty!
