Label for quilts

Tomorrow I will send the quilt to Houston so that in the last minute I was forced to make a label for it!
Since the quilt is so beautiful and special, I thought it deserves a special label.
I still have a few scraps from the scrappy background of the quilt, so I thought to make a matching scrappy label.

I made the label on computer, printed it on paper, taped the paper onto a window then I copied the text to fabric with a permanent marker.

I love it! I am happy that I took the time to make it.

  1. A wonderful label Geta. Thanks for working so hard to make and sew the label and to send the quilt. Good luck to our dear quilt in the long jurney to Houston! I hope it will be a winner! I already feel so!

  2. How appropriate! I live in Houston and have the privilege of going to the show each year. I am so looking forward to seeing the quilt, and label, in person! I know it will be adorned with ribbons!

  3. Bravo Geta si grupul! Quiltul e nemaipomenit de frumos. Ti se pare ca globul se rostogoleste din quilt, pare atat de real 🙂 Dar si marimea quiltului ma impresioneaza. Ati depus multa munca si v-a iesit o lucrare unicala! Eticheta se potriveste bine cu quiltul! Succese la Houston!

  4. There couldn't be a more perfect label for such a perfect quilt. I love that hexagon design and you are very clever to put the info around in those 6 little strips around the center. I am wishing your quilt many prizes and celebrations while in Houston. I don't attend the show but Houston is where my husband was raised, so I know the city. Full of friendly people, so your quilt will be welcome there!

  5. Your label is absolutely perfect! Wish I could go to Houston to see it but it is not to be this year. That is on my bucket list though.
