Ho Ho Ho Blog Hop

Do you need some Christmas inspiration ? Today is the first day of the HO HO HO blog hop. A big “thank you”  to Madame Samm and Carol, who are hosting this fun event.

After weeks of thinking which projects from a long list to make,  on Friday I had a “last minute” idea and I started  a new quilt.
So here is  my new hexy quilt.

This is a “Star of David” pattern made out of  3/4” hexagons. I have other 4 versions of this pattern on my computer, come back next week to see them.

It was a quick project, I needed 180 hexagons. The fabric is Kona cotton; I love the scrappy center piece.

The quilting ? I had only 5 minutes to think of it and this is what I stitched- feathers; tutorial here if you are interested.

Outside the star –  just simple stippling.

The hexagon star.

And just for inspiration: a Christmas ornament, made with ribbon – I love it; I don’t think I will try to make a new one until I have lots of short and sharp pins.

and some paper stars I made last year; when I will have pretty paper, I will make a few again.

Thank you for your visit!
