44!

So we managed to take a pictures with all us.
After my sisters kept telling me that we can’t gather together for the weekend, on Saturday evening at 10 the doorbell rang and the house was invaded !

We don’t make surprises to each other often (because we just can’t keep secrets, especially if they are happy!), so I was shocked when I saw them.
Saturday was a full working day for all of them,  they were so tired but they couldn’t refuse to take a picture with the quilt.

From left to right:
Andrada, my niece, Nina’s daughter
My mother  (72)- tired as well, after a 20 km (about 12 miles) walk
Me!
Nina –  she helped me a lot with the book
Oana- she’s the one who pointed me to quiltting!
Nicoleta – Alex’s mother!

Did they like the quilt ? Of course, but as I already told you, my mother doesn’t  want to keep it only for herself!

Alex did not want to be in the picture, but he agreed to give me hug.

The cake my sisters  made for me –  and Nina’s last minute idea – to make it looks like my shadow trapunto quilts!

The macarons I wanted to make for this day ? The cake? Eventually it was just tiramisu!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!
