Here is a new design for my newsletter subscribers.
Do you have gradation/ombre fabrics in your stash? I put such fabrics on my “to buy” list. It would look wonderful on a design like the one below.
The same design quilted – it’s great for free motion quilting practice.
I made this little piece (7” design) in about one hour.
The thread is Aurifil 50wt.
So much fun!
If you want to try it and you are not on my newsletter list, please subscribe below.
Happy quilting!
Hai Geta,
The pattern looks stunning. I might give it a try. I am just discovering free motion quilting and why not try this one.
Greetings Jenny
Yes, Jenny, give it a try; it’s small and fast and easy to sew; practice first with a pen on paper.
Lovely! A really nice design Geta, thanks for sharing! Looks like you went over the petals a few times, I might do that or try some Aurifl 12wt. Can’t wait to get started on this!
Yes, Keira, I outlined the petals a few times; with a thick thread, it would be faster.
What a Beautiful Design
I haven’t quilted in about 35 years (with my grandmother by hand). I so want to do so again, but by machine. I have a lot of her material that she was using when she died at 95 twenty years ago. You have inspired me even more to try my hand (machine) at it again. Thank you so much!!
Geta,
Gorgeous design. I love it. Thank you so much. Diane
