Heart quilt – more than just hearts!
This is another heart quilt, with a design from my latest quilt pattern.
Isn’t the multicolor Fossil Fern fabric great for this design? Just one fabric and so many colors!
By the way, there are a few multicolor fabrics in this collection by Benartex and all are so beautiful!
At this small size, the quilting was quick and easy.
Dense stippling inside the design, small feathers to highlight the hearts and then the echo quilting.
You could echo the design with the walking foot, but I preferred to transfer this design (which is a little more sophisticated than a simple echo) on fabric then I free motion quilted with a variegated thread.
What to love more?? The heart design or the echo quilting?
