Quilting the Dresden Quilt

April 3, 2015 11 Comments

I finally started quilting the Dresden quilt.

I struggle to finish it!
I still have to quilt almost half of the blocks. No, I already quilted more than half! Have you noticed the nuance? I am an optimistic quilter. I have to! More about it soon!

Have a great weekend,
Geta

The quilting is like a lace. Beautiful and delicate.

I love how the quilting makes the blocks almost look like they're spinning. I can't wait to see it finished!

We must have a similar mind! this is quite like the quilting I did on a grandmothers fan I started in 1983 and finished last year! I just love the fluidity of it! Will find a picture and send it to you.

Talk about movement! The quilting just makes the quilt take off. I love the look of the quilt, even if you just did a stipple all over. But that swirly feather quilting elevates it to a whole new level. Love it!

    Dear Geta,
I love the quilting and your modern interpretation of the 'old' Dresden plate 😉 Yours Martina
