Huge Bag

July 26, 2013 8 Comments

A huge quilt requires  a huge bag!
This weekend my Romanian quilting friends have a meeting with our friendship quilt.
They hand stitched parts of the quilt top and I think they are anxious to see it finished. A picture is just a picture, seeing the quilt in person is another story!

This is a large scale print from Sun Kissed collection by Michele D’Amore for Benartex.
The stripe fabric is from the same collection.

I think all my summer clothes could fit in it!
I forgot to add batting to the straps (I fused interfacing between fabric) and I felt right away the weight of the bag on my shoulders!

And this will be the project I will stitch this weekend!

Pictures next week!
Have a great weekend, I know ours will be wonderful!

Love the fabrics! I have some Sun Kissed in my stash and haven't found a use for them and now I think I might make a bag! Great job!!

How fun! I'm finishing up a couple of hand-pieced projects, too. I'll share pics when they are done. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Did you ever finished the over sized hexie coin purse? I'm dying to see how that turned out!

Great gift, especially if she is a big fan of colours.
