Snow Kisses Quilt Pattern

It’s finally done! It measures 30” x 32”.

Thank you for your suggestions to name this quilt. I called it “Snow Kisses” –  inspired by Lara!
After all the great names you suggested me, I feel now that I have to make some quilts to match the beautiful names!

There is no better fabric to show a pattern than solid!

I did trapunto under the snowflakes.  With so narrow pieces, I was afraid that it is more work for almost nothing, but I was wrong. Trapunto adds a lot, even to narrow pieces.

Looking at the raw edges of the appliques, you could say the snowflake is about to melt!

This part was hand pieced –  I basted the fabric to paper templates using a glue pen! How I loved it! I enjoyed even stitching by hand 13” edges!

Even the quilting looks better on solid fabric!

Nothing new that I love rainbow!

Before and after quilting

And some Christmas designs.  I hope to make at least one until Christmas.

Happy quilting!

  1. This quilt turned out very beautiful. I love the details in the quilting. It made such a difference in the overall look of the quilt from before to after when quilted. Great job! 🙂

  2. I am again transfixed by one of your designs. You are so amazing. The quilting also adds a lot to the pattern. I really must remember to check your blog more often.
