Spoonflower

Do you remember the images I purchased two weeks ago, from Deposit Photos?

I turned them into fabric! I printed them on fabric using  Spoonflower.

The printed colors are not as vibrant as the ones in the original photos ( they can’t look on fabric as they look on the computer screen), but I am very happy with how the fabric looks.
These are 1-yard pieces.

From this I will make bags (one for me!)

And this will be a quilt.

I enjoyed this experience. One yard of  fabric is not cheap (about $16 for Kona cotton), but it is worth the money to print on it what you want.

With thousands of beautiful fabrics out there, I have never thought that I will print my fabric. But these  designs are too pretty and I had to do it!

Do you have some experience in printing with Spoonflower ?

  1. When I hosted a quilting retreat in April 2011, I had an artist draw an image to depict the theme of our retreat and Spoonflower printed our fabric. It was awesome!

Can't wait to see what you do with yours!
