The last miniature bag

April 16, 2010 18 Comments

I was so glad to see you like my miniature bags ! Thank you all for the nice messages!

I had no intention to make another one ! But looking at my collection I noticed that only Amelie has tiny sisters and Belle doesn’t have any.
So that I had to make a mini-Belle bag.

I used ric-rac for outlining the pockets and for straps…

I stitched the ric-rac by hand and of course, it is not perfect…
I had to attach the lining by hand too, but all the other stitches were sewn by machine.

It measures 2.5″x2.75″ (6.25×6.75 cm).
Though it is smaller than the green one, I stitched it more easily ( no curved edges at top).

And this is the collection. I definitely have to replace the red one with one in matching colors…Some day… next year…!

They are hanging on the wall near my monitor. They make me smile…

Happy sewing!

Adorable little bags. They would make cute shower favors! or wedding favors if done in the bride's colors.

You're so funny, now all of your bags have little sisters! Your title says "no more," but you're already talking about replacing the red one by the end of the post! Keep the red one, it's as wonderful as the others.

Your bags are beautiful. I still can't get over the small one. Love it!

I hope all is ok with you and the Vocano weather. Not sure if it has impacted your area, but have been thinking about you and hope all is well.

Hmm, although even you yourself admit you are crazy, I cannot help but admire what you have achieved, not only are the large bags gorgeous, those small ones are just so cute, you ought to mount them in a box frame Geta, they would look lovely as a set on the wall. with some hooks underneath to hang the big sister from. I too am crazy, sometimes, and am thinking, can I do these??????

Nici nu stii ce buna dispozitie mi-au creeat pozele bijuteriilor tale textile!

    Mult succes la dificilul piecing!

Geta, You have given me a great idea, but how much did you reduce the pattern by on Belle to make the small version? Then I'll email you a pic of what I did with it! Hugs Naomi

Holy cow, it's like that saying, how small can you go? They are wonderful! Makes me feel I need to make one now for my DD's American Doll. Not sure I can go as small as you have. 😀
