A summer bag

April 24, 2009 10 Comments

I made it from the fabrics I bought last week.

How I wish to match it with a skirt or a pair of pants made from the same fabric. But I don’t have enough patience to sew a skirt ( I have patience to cut batting away for 2 weeks but not to sew a skirt for a few hours ).
Since I discovered quilting I hate to sew clothes. But this is a good thing, where I could store so many clothes ? My house is full of quilts !

Do you see ? This is a new pattern, I made for the first time the bottom and the sides of the bag from different fabrics ( a little more work…).

I am so proud that I finally made this type of handles (I love them !):

Have a nice weekend ! I count the days left until we will see Depeche Mode in concert. Just three weeks away…

Another gorgeous purse. They just seem to flow effortlessly from you! I feel the same about quilting vs. “sewing”. I hate to sew clothing and my patience is so only available for quilting projects.

Such a beautiful purse. I agree with you, I am not into garment sewing. Give me quilts, quilts, quilts!

Lovely purse! I’m so with you on a the clothing sewing versus quilt making. I gave up sewing clothes years ago…occasionally I’ll make a few things for my kids..but nothing for me.

Your work is inspirational!!! I read what you wrote about yourself and I can’t believe you learned this all by your self.

Could you share how to make the nice two colored handles on this purse. I have never seen them before and they are great.

Sunt minunate toate, dar ultima are un farmec aparte. Si modelul si culorile imi plac grozav de mult. Verdele este ceva tercot?
