New Quilt

January 10, 2009 11 Comments

I made this quilt 2 years ago.
My sister Oana loves blue color, so she wanted this quilt !

I love to make stained-glass quilts ! This was the last one I made. After this I fell in love with trapunto and shadow trapunto so I abandoned this technique.

Am facut acest quilt acum 3 ani.
Surorii mele Oana ii place culoarea albastra, asa ca l-a vrut ea !

On Friday was Oana’s birthday, so I wanted to make for her a quilt to match that wall hanging. So, I made this one !

It’s 60×80 inch.
Are 1.5 x 2 m.

I pieced the blocks in a day (well, 12-13 hours) and I quilted it in the second day.
Unfortunately it wasn’t time for fancy quilting !

Am pisuit blocurile intr-o zi (cam 12-13 ore ) si apoi l-am quiltuit tot intr-o zi
(n-as fi reusit fara masina industriala, are viteza mult mai mare decat cea casnica ).

I love your stained glass quilt as well as the big quilt to go with it. Was there smoke coming out of the sewing machine, with you working it so hard? lol I think the quilting looks great too.
