Tote bag for the beaches of Florida

May 30, 2013 6 Comments

No, none of us is going to Florida! I made this  for a dear friend of mine who lives in Florida, near the beach. As I live at the foot of the mountain and I see the sea and the beach once in a few years - this meaning VACATION -  I can say I envy her; a little; maybe a little more! I still have beautiful fabrics and I still enjoy Danielle pattern! This is the largest version of the … [Read more...]

Flex Frame Pouches

December 7, 2012 9 Comments

I don't have too many memories from my childhood, but I do remember  some vinyl flex frame pouches.  Usually used for keeping coins.    I was in love when I saw this little pouch made by Leila  and I had to make a  few. Leila wrote even a tutorial,  she pieced hexagons for her pouch - thank you for the inspiration!  Here are mine - 3 sisters - 3 … [Read more...]

New Frame Purses

November 23, 2012 9 Comments

All these are 3'' frames, perfect for Madame Samm's pattern. Dots in the favorite colors of my sisters. And some lovely prints. This frame is very beautiful, I have to order more -  fortunately, from Romania! Stay away from this type -  there is nothing to hide the top stitching; the stitching on the inside looks more beautiful! The color of this frame is … [Read more...]

Here is the first frame purse I made, using Madame Samm's pattern- great instructions and the shape of the purse is adorable! GENIUS! I am in love! The size (3'' frame) and shape make you smile. Unfortunately, this was the only 3'' frame I had on hand. I would have … [Read more...]

I am in the middle of frame purse making! I already made 2! The one in the picture was made a few months ago. I don't know how many I will make until Friday, we will see! On a side note, my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt I made with my sisters has been nominated for the Favorite Group or Bee Quilt over at the  Blogger's Quilt Festival. Thank you all who nominated it. There are … [Read more...]

Mini Frame Purse

August 14, 2012 8 Comments

This is my first frame purse. Inspired by the wonderful frame purses I see everyday on Internet, I had to try to make one myself. I made a very simple pattern, to see how it works. It's easy! I attached the purse to the frame with hand stitches, I suppose it is easier than to work with glue. I am unhappy that my stitches are visible on the inside part. I can't figure out how to make … [Read more...]
