Baby Quilt Finished

Do you remember Barb’s quilt top and its story ?
I finished the quilting. I loved doing it and I love that I am part of this story.

The quilting is similar with the one I did on my own quilt.  I LOVE to quilt tiles on the roof and bricks on the walls!

On the white sashings and borders I stitched bubbles and pebbles.

Usually, I wash all my quilts before adding the binding. But I am not that brave to wash other people’s quilt so this one is not washed. I was very careful when I made the quilt sandwich, trying to keep the top in the perfect shape (right angles, straight edges).
I expect even more texture after the quilt will be washed (it has cotton batting). I would have loved to see it washed!

I think Barb will send me some pictures like these in a few months! This is Alex with his quilt.

Have a great weekend,
Geta

  1. This is stunning! You did an amazing job quilting this. Little Alex is a lucky baby 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing and tell Barb thank you too for letting you share her quilt story with us 🙂

  2. It is fantastic! Knew it would be. Since you like texture so much it's a shame you must pre-wash your fabric. I love how my quilts shrink up since I don't pre-wash anything.
