New Fabric Box

After the pretty little things I made (here and here) for Christmas I just had to make a box, too.
I made an octagonal one…
and I covered the top edges with organza ruffle trim.

Making boxes is addictive! Different colors, different fabric combinations, different shapes and sizes, different edge treatments…

Sorry for the bad pictures, my camera doesn’t like red color.
I hope you like it! I will make at least one more !

Other boxes and patterns here.

  1. Love the fabric boxes. Will be perfect for pens, pencils etc for my daughters desk. Her job moved into a brand new b uilding and they would be perfect done in holiday and/or seasonal materials & colors. Thanks so much for sharing your many talents with us

  2. How did you connect the different sides? Did you zig zag them like the other box? I really like this one too, thank you. I'm going to try the ribbon on the square box, I really like the look.

  6. Thank you for the tutorial. It is well written and inspiring…I don't typically like this sort of item, but I found myself wondering where I might be able to use them, and started planning some!
