Finally! I made it for my 25 year old niece, Andrada. She loves pink.
The dot fabrics are from the Ta Dot collection by Michael Miller.
Even tough at first I thought I can’t finish it before my retirement, it was actually a quick quilting. I looked at the clock: 20 minutes for a block with 24 wedges. Thanks to my speedy Jack – the sewing machine. But I couldn’t do it all in one day!
Initially, I wanted to stitch some radial or circular motifs, then I thought the bubble quilting matches better the dot fabric.
I am so glad I used a little black! I took the advice of one my friends: “I add a little black to all my quilts!”. Thank you, Michele! It’s a good advice!
Surprisingly, I don’t feel sorry that my dot stash is substantially reduced! I could make this pattern again and again…
