Fabric Star Ornament
Easy folding and sewing technique for
QUICK and FUN start ornaments.
Perfect for any celebration!
– Great for scraps –
Years ago I made some paper stars, it was so much fun. At the time I wanted to make them out of fabric, too, but the folding technique is not as easy when it comes to fabric!
But this year I tried it again, and came up with a hack that makes it quick and easy and fun! Let’s give the hack a name: fusible web!
All you need for this star is fabric scraps and fusible web interfacing scraps. You can use squares in any size! I used 2”, 2 1/2”, 3” square. The final size of the star is (2 x size of the square).
Turning the squares into kite shapes is fun and easy; assembling them into the star is quick and easy, as well.
You can use them to decorate gifts or to decorate your Christmas table. They are also great as coasters.
You can make them from only one fabric…
or from two fabric, or four… You can make even a rainbow star!
I know you have fabric scraps you cherish! Give them a new life!
