What could a few fabric strips become?

Look closely at those layers!
The texture comes from folding fabric strips and stitching them into a design that grows around the center.
The patterns guide you through the construction.
You bring your favorite fabrics—and the pleasure of discovering how they look in the folds.

Curious to try it?
Start with a coaster.
That first coaster can be the beginning of a matching set- maybe a Christmas gift for a friend!

One technique to explore.
Different designs and projects to make it your own.
All those colors—from one piece of fabric?
Yes!
I used rainbow/gradation/striped fabric a lot for this technique.
You see the colors changing from one row to the next, but I didn’t choose a separate fabric for every row.
The fabric supplied the color changes.

Choose your own combination of prints and solids.
That choice alone can give the same design a completely different character.
Three patterns. Which would you try first?
