I used two of the cute blocks made some time ago and I made two big pillows. 20''. And I quilted both with the walking foot and a dense grid. The octagon in the center measures less than 1'' (after washing) - really cute! Now to quilt the last three blocks, I will make a table runner. Happy quilting! Edited: … [Read more...]
Work in progress
The pile of UFOs is growing and I am not happy at all. I have to change this, working on many projects at a time it's unproductive to me and stressful! I can't believe I found in my boxes with Kona cotton six tones of the same colors. And for 4 colors! Not the perfect tones but hey, I was able to make a quilt with them! Do you know how I will finish it? After quilting, it should look … [Read more...]

New Patchwork Quilt
I finished this quilt a few days ago. All the fabrics are from the Fusions collection by Robert Kaufman. It's a decent size - 36'', it was a pleasure to quilt it. Quilted with Aurifil 50wt. The center octagon measures 2''. The center design measures 28''. From 2'' to 28'' in just three steps! The border is 5'' wide and I chose to quilt double feathers (feather in feather) on … [Read more...]
Design Wall for Quilters

This top is already quilted and washed, tomorrow I will add the binding! For my new sewing studio I plan to make a portable design wall, covered with cotton batting or maybe flannel. While I rarely need it … [Read more...]

I do love the look of quilted feathers but I love even more that it is so easy to quilt them! If you want to practice and draw feathers on paper, I can assure you that quilting them is easier than drawing them! It's important to quilt on small shapes. This is why I divided the … [Read more...]

I was right that the two color version is beautiful! I posted pictures on Facebook and many quilters asked what pattern I used. For this simple block, this is the pattern - Loving Hugs. WIP- patchwork quilt
A new patchwork quilt. At first, I made this block. An octagon surrounded by triangles - from my Loving Hugs quilt pattern. A little math and then I added one more row of triangles. And one more row. I started with a 2'' octagon. The size of the triangles increases exponentially. The final size of the piece is 28''. Of course! Edited to add: Interested to … [Read more...]
