Trapunto quilts

My adventures with shadow trapunto started a few years ago with …trapunto.
These are a few quilts I made in the last years.

Sometimes I stitch the motifs using a zig-zag stitch and a variegated thread.

One thing I don’t like about trapunto is trimming that thick batting.

It seems that the trapunto motifs are enhanced by light colored fabrics.

or shining fabrics (like this taffeta).

These are the blocks of a table runner.

Here I make trapunto under appliques.
