Pretty little things II

April 7, 2009 14 Comments

Here in Romania we are happy with simple things, like the possibility to buy ric-rac from our shops ๐Ÿ™‚

I made a few flowers,

then a few little purses.

I combined the flowers made using the tutorial from Betz White with yo-yos,

I added piping,

and I made plaited handles for the first time :

It was fun to make them !
My sister Oana saw them and said : “I want to be a little girl again” ! I would like this, too !

    Geta,
cred ca oriunde in lumea asta se afla (si) persoane care sunt fericite cand cumpara ric-rac:-)
Si altele care sunt fericite cand vad lucrusoarele de pe blogul tau!

You’ve given me some ideas for our guild’s challenge this year. We have to use some sort of 3-D embellishment. I still don’t know how you get so much done so quickly.

Your bags are beautiful! I love the way you have quilted them too. You do beautiful work. Did you quilt the white quilt that you use as background. It is beautiful too. Just lovely!!

Where do you find the time? Your little bags are adorable. Do you use flannel or fleece for them?
(The flowers add just the right touch)

Geta..your tutes are fabulous! very clear and pictures taken at the right moment..the moment where we would be scratching out heads as to how to do that step.

In the flower above, with the ric rac..how did you apply the ric rac to the petals?

Thank you for your wonderful postings,
